Fire ban lifted

What a difference a weekend can make.

The South East Fire Centre has lifted the campfire ban.

Last week much of our region was at extreme wildfire risk.

But rain and much cooler temperatures have changed all that.

Campfires of 0.5m wide and 0.5m high are now allowed as is an open fire in an outdoor stove.

All other open burning is still prohibited.
