Council split on pavilion concession vendor

Castlegar’s Celgar Pavilion at Millenium Park has a concession vendor.

City Council moved to award the contract to the Castlegar and District Community Service Society.

It was a close vote with some councilors feeling that it was awarded too hastily.

Here’s councilor Dan Rye.

The agreement is valid through the rest of this year and 2016 with an option for 2017.

The concession will be open for the duration of the season as weather permits.
