The indefinite closure of Creston’s yard waste drop off is being blamed on continued misuse.
And it’s taxpayers who are on the hook for the clean up costs.
Director of Municipal Services, Ross Beddoes  says the non compost-able material that was dumped is both residential and commercial.
Beddoes says now, town staff has to deal with the task of clearing out the debris.
Creston council has referred the matter back to staff to come up with options to reopen the facility.
