Small lots exempt from Castlegar parcel tax

A break for Castlegar property owners who have smaller lots.

The city has decided those with a width of under 25 feet will be exempt from their new $150 parcel tax.

Here’s Councilor Sue Heaton-Sherstobitoff.

These properties are considered too small to be redeveloped.

In most cases the small lots are connected to properties which are already considered to be a full-sized parcel and are often used for gardens or sheds.
