Balfour awaits costs of ferry terminal move

The community is eager to hear the financial justification for a possible relocation of the Balfour ferry terminal.

This from Randy Zelonka, the the president of the Balfour and District Business and Historic Association, who also runs a business at the landing.

Public consultation starts June 15 and the ministry’s main issue is that the Osprey 2000 vessel is getting damaged by hitting the shallow narrows on the west arm.

Zelonka says “if” the current terminal is shut down the province should invest in making that area a special,vibrant community hub.
