Nelson Skatepark Grand Opening!

Concerns are rolling away as Nelson readies itself for a celebration over 10 years in the making.

Kootenay Lake Outdoor Skatepark Society’s Chad Hansen admits they were worried how the public would respond to the final product of the outdoor skatepark in Rosemont’s Art Gibbon Park.

But with the facility finished last fall and skateboarders being able to test it out ahead of Saturday’s Grand Opening, he says:

Opening ceremonies kick off at noon.

Hansen encourages car pooling or the use of public transit as parking is limited.
