The BC Coroners service is investigating after a man’s body was found in a Nelson alley last week.
A memorial has appeared on Baker Street referring to him as “Paul Jason K,” but he was known to friends as Jay.
His friend Christian, who didn’t want his last name used, says it’s tragic.
Christian says his friend came from Kelowna to change his life around, and was doing well until the day of his death.
Police don’t know if the death was fentanyl-related.
