Some changes to liquor laws in BC are in effect as of today.
Bars and restaurants can now offer drinks at a reduced price.
But the so-called “Happy Hours” will still have a minimum charge of $3 a drink.
The government says that provides flexibility for the industry but also ensures responsible consumption.
Also customers can now move freely with their beverage from one adjoining licensed area to another, such as from a pub to an adjoining restaurant.
