The polar bear swim will be back in Nelson on New Year’s Day.
Kootenay Co-op Radio’s Stephanie Myers says this year they’re teaming up with the Friends of Kootenay Lake to host it.
The two organizations will split the money raised. Pledge sheets are out at several local businesses.
Last year the event was cancelled before Co-op Radio scrambled to organize it at the last minute.

The swim goes Monday at noon at Lakeside Park.
Last year about 80 people took the plunge and hundreds more watched.
