The Nelson Leafs have been eliminated from the KIJHL playoffs.
They fell 2-1 in double overtime to the Kimberley Dynamiters in game six of the Kootenay Conference Finals to lose the best-of-seven 4-2.
Leafs captain Sawyer Hunt had Nelson’s lone goal in what turned out to be his final KIJHL game.
Nelson played the game short a number of key players including forward Logan Wullum and defenders Dash Thompson and Michael LeNoury.
Dynamiters forward Cooper Page scored the overtime winner to vault Kimberley to the KIJHL finals.
They’ll face either the Osoyoos Coyotes or the Revelstoke Grizzlies.
