RDCK urges residents to prepare for possible flooding

The Regional District of Central Kootenay has put out some reminders for residents on how to prepare for flooding. That includes creating a household emergency plan and taking measures to protect your home, for example installing a sump pump. General Manager of Development Services, Sangita Sudan, says it’s also important to stay in the know about possible emergencies.

In response to the mud slide on Highway 3A the RDCK’s Emergency Operations Centre was activated today. Sudan says the Centre can also help with flooding on residential properties.
