Six weeks after a disturbing crime in Nelson the suspects are off the streets.
But they have not been charged in the matter.
In late May a man and woman with their faces covered robbed Star Grocery in Rosemont.
They used pepper-spray on the store owner.
Nelson Police Detective Corey Hoy says they have identified the suspects – who are currently behind bars on an unrelated matter.
He says having enough evidence to press charges is the key.
Hoy wouldn’t say why the two are in custody but says the public should feel confident the suspects are off the streets.
