Balfour residents are being asked to book water meter installations.
The Regional District of Central Kootenay has contracted Corix Water Products to do the work.
RDCK utility services manager Jason McDiarmid says it shouldn’t take too long per household or business.
It’s part of the overall upgrades to the Balfour system.

McDiarmid says the last bit of water main replacement has been put on hold until the meter installation is completed.
He says the meter pits are more expensive than meters attached to homes, and they need to find out home many of those there are.
