Roll out your Hippy bus

A number of vintage vans are expected to flock to the Queen City Wednesday night in honour of a vehicle known as a cultural icon.

There will be a tailgate party held at the old Extra Foods parking lot across the street from the Nelson Civic Theatre that will show “The Bus” documentary- highlighting the VW micro bus.

Musician Dave Manning appears in the film and is driving from Northern Idaho to attend the event.

Manning is set to perform after the screening.

The director of documentary Damon Ristau will also be in attendance.

The tailgate party goes at 5:30 pm and the movie starts at 7 pm.
