Some fresher,cleaner air has arrived in some parts of our region but not in others.
The Ministry of Environment has announced the Wildfire Smoke Advisory for Castlegar and Nelson and their surrounding areas has ended.
Smoke concentrations have decreased and dispersion models suggest these levels will remain low for the next few days.
However a Wildfire Smoke Advisory has just been issued for Grand Forks and area.
This is because of smoke coming in from wildfires in Washington state.
