The Evacuation Alert for the homes near the Slocan Park wildfire has been lifted as more progress has been made to combat the blaze.
Officials say containment is now up to 60% as wet and cooler weather has helped out.
Information Officer Julie Castonguay says the cooler weather is also helping crews to actively move into the fire zone.
Fewer helicopters are needed as ground crews find their own water sources on the hill to deal with the blaze.
