Teck performs underground Rossland inspection

Teck is continuing their geo-technical monitoring program Tuesday and Wednesday in Rossland.

Community engagement leader Carol Vanelli Worosz explains this shows them whether or not remediation or mitigation work is warranted.

Worosz says the proactive initiative started in 2008 and before they just conducted periodic visual inspections and undertook remedial activities in the mine areas as deemed necessary.

She says when the program started they focused on the lands closest to Red Mountain and now they are working through the ranking of properties with the current property being priority.
