Anderson Street hedge fire under investigation

Tuesday’s hedge fire at 216 Anderson Street is now under investigation by the Nelson Police Department.

The fire started sometime between 5 a.m. and 5:30 p.m at a property behind Panago Pizza. It was quickly spotted and extinguished before it could cause serious damage.

Police are asking anyone who may have witnessed the event or has video footage to contact them.

An individual seen in the area around the time of the fire is pictured above.

Police hope this person may have information that could aid in their investigation and ask that they, or anyone who recognizes them, to come forward.
