Share Nelson robbed

A blow for a local charitable organisation and its staff.

Share Nelson , the by-donation recycling arm of the Our Daily Bread hot meals program has been robbed.

Pastor Jim Reimer says someone broke in over the weekend and stole the safe which had $2,500 cash.

That money had been raised independently by staff through bake sales and bottle drives to be given as a lump sum to the food program.

Anyone who may know anything is asked to contact the Nelson Police who are investigating.

Reimer says perhaps the culprit will realise the damage that’s been caused and make a large donation.
