Nelson wants info as Trail seeks support for KBRH road

The new Nelson council finds itself with an early political juggling act regarding the regional hospital in Trail.

Trail wants Nelson to endorse their application for a federal grant to build a second access road to KBRH.

Mayor Deb Kozak explains Nelson first needs to know if Trail has received support from other communities and if Interior Health will help to fund the road.

A potential conflict is that Nelson has also applied for money from the same granting pool for its own Hall Street project.

Trail wants an answer from Nelson before next month’s application deadline.
