A break and enter on Baker Street in recent days led to the theft of a few items that would be hard to hide.
Nelson police say three decorative rocks – two Geodes and a Lapis -were taken from a business on the 400 block some time between Sunday and Tuesday. Each weighs about 30 pounds.

Not for the first time Nelson police are warning the public about a phone scam regarding hydro.
The bogus caller claims to be from a utility company and tells the potential victim their power is going to shut off unless they buy a money card and follow certain instructions.
The NPD says the public should never offer any account info and should call the hydro company to verify what’s going on.
