Castlegar will install charging station one way or another

The City of Castlegar is driven to install an electric car charging station.

After struggling to hook up a device they previously won as a prize staff are currently working on a deal with Tesla Motors to land a more advanced piece of infrastructure.

Councillor Kevin Chernoff says it provides an opportunity for travellers to come see what’s happening in our region and what Castlegar and area has to offer.

Chernoff says no matter which device they end up installing they’ve received funding from the Columbia Basin Trust and Fortis BC to finally get a plug in station hooked up in the community.
