What's the future of regional Economic Forum?

Our four regional mayors plan to sit down and discuss the mandate of the West Kootenay Economic Development dialogue forum.

This from Trail leader Mike Martin who will join the heads of Nelson, Rossland and Castlegar in early March to talk about future plans of the body.

Trail didn’t support the forum’s Regional Airport Study ( which would have explored both local airports) and said it would instead move ahead with their own specific airport plan.

However, Martin says anytime you can get regional leaders all in one room to discuss initiatives that can benefit all communities… it’s a good thing.
