The Nelson Commons downtown store and condo development can become a major attraction in its own right.

He says it’s extraordinary they have the largest independent food co-op in Canada.
And next year the plus 12,000 local membership will have a new store that will build on the success of the one currently on Baker Street.
He adds having it’s own parking lot will help a lot because that’s something the existing store doesn’t have.
Steinman was speaking at the ground-breaking ceremony at the Vernon Street site.
