Trail-Kelowna flight not seeing enough use:Pacific Coastal

Pacific Coastal wants to see twice as many people using the Kelowna to Trail service.

This from airline VP Spencer Smith who is speaking after Trail mayor Mike Martin organized meetings with Pacific Coastal and representatives from both municipalities to talk about the low ridership.

Smith confirms there is concern with the amount of traction it is getting in the Silver City market.

Smith says they were surprised to learn about the seeming lack of awareness of the service in the Trail community.

He says in the short term they need to see trending growth in the market – like with their new service out of Prince George that was launched in January as well.
