Will north shore wildfire get rain today?

Crews are keeping a keen eye on the change of weather Friday as they continue their battle on the wildfire above Six Mile on Nelson’s north shore.

There is cloud cover and showers and thunderstorms are possible.

Here’s Fire Information Officer Noelle Kekula.

A Restriction Order is now in place meaning no one except for fire-fighting personnel can be on or near that crown land.

350 homes remain on Evacuation Alert. There has been no definitive timeline given for that to be lifted.
