Missing Boundary ATV’er found

The missing ATV rider who hadn’t been seen since before the Rock Creek wildfire has been reported found.

39 year old Mathew Straume went missing on Thursday after planning a trip on forest service roads from Greenwood to Beaverdell.

He hadn’t been heard from since.

But his mum Kathy got a call from him Monday night and it turns out he was riding just ahead of the blaze.

She says he told her that someone recognised him and his ATV from media reports and told him to call home.

Highway 33 remains closed.
