Fire crews hope for air support

Information Officer Mike McCulley says with the winds getting up as the smoke clears there is hope BC wildfire aircraft can once again take to the skies.

He says depending on fire behavior BC ground crews may have to be withdrawn from the northern flank of the Stickpin fire.

That means it’s very important to get aircraft into action and getting unobstructed access to the water in Christina Lake will be crucial.
