Four brand new fire trucks have been bought for local fire halls within the RDCK.
Regional Fire Chief Terry Swan says Crescent Valley, Slocan and North Shore were in need of replacing their ageing trucks.
Ootischenia’s will be an addition to their fleet.
The vehicles are multi-use.
The special pick-up style vehicles cost under a $100,000.
Swan says by buying all four together the rdck saved $200,000.
