The new Central Kootenay Food Policy Council has had its first meeting by conference call.
Co-ordinator Abra Brynne says they have 24 members representing diverse locations and sectors.
The first in-person meeting is March 6. They’ll then determine exactly what they’ll work on.
But in general their goal is to improve food systems in the area.
