Despite all the rain over the weekend the South East Fire Centre’s burning restrictions still kick in Wednesday.
Fire Information Officer Jordan Turner says July 2nd was set as the start of the open fire prohibition some time ago.
 As of noon Wednesday the burning of any waste, slash or other materials is banned and so too is the burning of grass or stubble.
Fireworks and burning barrels are also banned.
Small camp fires are allowed.
