Cliff diving victim recovered from Kootenay Lake

The body of the young man who died after diving from Starbelly Cliff near Gray Creek last week has been brought to the surface.

The BC Coroners Service confirms the efforts of the Idaho-based specialist underwater search team led by Gene Ralston were successful Monday.

25 year old Wyatt Earl Davidson of Riondel is reported to have landed awkwardly while diving last Monday and was unconscious when he slipped under the water.

Last week RCMP divers using a special camera spotted the body in 146-feet of water but were unable to physically get to it.
