While there’s no end in sight to this hot,dry spell the city of nelson is comfortable with its water supply situation.
Manager of Operations Jim Dinwoodie says the main reservoir is essentially at 100% and they’re ready to have their summer back-ups in place.
Dinwoodie says the current water restrictions of allowing watering on alternatign days and for only 60 minutes a week is working.
The main reservoir drops up to 5% capacity during the day but generally fully replenishes overnight.
