Rash of collisions in Nelson

Nelson police are reporting a particularly bad run of collisions on local roads in recent days.

A 63 year old cyclist was hit on the 600 block of Highway 3A with police saying the driver cut him off.

A pedestrian trying to cross front street mid-block was hit by a vehicle turning onto the street.

And there was a crash involving two cars at the entrance to Lakeside on 2nd street with both drivers assuming they had right of way.

A passenger had to be extracted by the fire department.

Police are calling on the public to drive defensively around our city streets.
