Grand Forks to get "learning garden"

A community garden is to be set up outside the Grand Forks Aquatic Centre.

Graham Watt – one of many locals investing their efforts in the project – says it will be a demonstration garden aimed at promoting self-reliance.

Watt says it will also showcase how people can be stewards of the Kettle River in their own yards and businesses and help conserve water.

There will be community consultation later in the year on how the garden will look.
