Martin officially launches Trail mayoral bid

Growth, vitality and pride will advance change in the city of Trail.

So says mayoral candidate Mike Martin who formally launched his campaign by unveiling a billboard Tuesday.

He is currently sits as the Chair of the Lower Columbia Community Development Team Society.

Martin says he has taken the role of running for mayor very seriously.

Martin says there is a great foundation for revitalizing the Silver City by acquiring the airport from the RDKB, projects like the proposed pedestrian pipe bridge and proposed library/museum facility.

However he adds private investment needs to be secured in the downtown area and especially on the Esplanade.
