A candidate for Nelson council wants the city to be a magnet for fledgling tech companies.
John Paolozzi says there’s vacant space at the city hall building where the new fibre-optic broadband line runs. That’s a perfect place for a so-called “start-up incubator.”
Paolozzi has been on the city’s Cultural Development Committee and Advisory Planning Commission so is involved in the arts and planning.
He has already worked on efforts to reduce the minimum size of secondary suites to prompt more homeowners to become landlords and ease the affordable housing shortage.
