Jonathan Heatlie will soon be back on Salmo village council after winning 100 votes in a byelection Saturday night.
Heatlie won the majority his opponents Anne Williams who took 33 votes, and Tanya Forbes with 26 votes.
Heatlie ran for mayor unsuccessfully in October’s general election.
The byelection was called last month after Todd Wallace resigned for medical reasons.
