Strong Q3 for Celgar

A good third quarter for the owners of the Celgar pulp mill.

Mercer International declared their earnings more than doubled over the same period last year from almost $33 million to almost $ 68 million.

The company also recorded a record net income of over $88 million for the third quarter.

It says its per unit fiber costs at Celgar decreased due to the strong supply of pulpwood and residual chips.
