QE ball park fence issue enters criminal realm

The Nelson Police Dept is warning citizens anytime you take matters into your own hands it could just make things worse.

This after someone removed fence poles which are part of upgrades to the Queen Elizabeth baseball diamond.

Over 100 concerned residents had signed a petition opposing the work because it would wreck a popular toboggan site used for decades.

The City and local ball club agreed to hold off and Constable Matt Caldwell says it appeared a solution was in the works.

Caldwell says the issue has now passed over to the criminal code and NPD are investigating.
