Rossland council goes on communication offensive

The new Rossland city council is making immediate moves to be more engaged with the community.

A newsletter giving info following their first council meeting has been printed and delivered to mail boxes and local businesses.

And mayor Kathy Moore says the councillors will take shifts in attending the Saturday winter markers at the Miners Hall.

Moore says all the councillors who were elected promised better communication. That’s something the previous council was heavily criticised for.

She says residents should visit the city website and sign up for the e-mail newsletter so they don’t have to print so many.
