Murder charge in Fruitvale death

A man has been charged with second degree murder after an incident in Fruitvale Sunday night.

24 year old Jordan Shimell of Rocky Mountain House, Alberta is charged in connection with the death of 52 year old Scott Decembrini.

He was arrested without incident.

The victim succumbed to serious injuries at KBRH.

RCMP Cst Kris Clark says the men had a familial relationship but it’s unlikely any more information will be released to the public.

Shimell remains in custody and is a scheduled to appear in Rossland Provincial Court January 5th.
