Nelson police were forced to respond after a panhandler became too aggressive for the public’s comfort.
A 21 year old man – known to the NPD – was shouting and swearing at people on Baker Street Thursday.
When officers arrived on the scene he was arrested and a quantity of marijuana and hash was found in his pockets during a subsequent search.
The man was charged for causing a disturbance and possessing street drugs and will be appear in Nelson court next month.
