The Southeast Fire Centre weather office reports it was a wetter March than normal.

There was more than a third extra precipitation compared to the average and broke a six month dry trend.

March was the first wetter than normal month since September.

The abnormally cold start to March saw a low of -10C on the 2nd before things got back to normal.
