Selkirk College trail in for upgrade

A key link from Selkirk College to the City of Castlegar is being improved to support active transportation among students and the community.

The city and school will support Castlegar Friends of Parks and Trails to fix up the stretch on the east side of the Columbia River behind the Kootenay Gallery and Doukhobor Discovery Centre.

Group president Mark Jennings says the improvements will bring the trail up to standard with the rest of the network around Selkirk College.

He adds over 20 students from the school will volunteer time to help with the work.
