Body found in Kootenay Lake

RCMP divers have spotted what is likely the body of the young man who’s presumed to have drowned in Kootenay Lake Monday.

The 25 year old is thought to have died when landing awkwardly after diving from the popular Starbelly Cliff near Gray Creek.

Specialist equipment is now being brought in and the recovery is expected within a few days.

Gollan advises anyone jumping from the cliff to use caution and always have someone with them.
