Two die in snowmobile crash

Two people have been killed in a snowmobiling accident outside Nakusp.

RCMP responded to a report just after 11 am Tuesday on the remote Hotsprings Forest Service Rd about 25 kms north of the village.

Two residents of Slocan Park – a 27 year old man and 29 year old woman – died as a result of a collision with a downed tree.

Neither were wearing helmets at the time of the collision.

Police believe the incident happened sometime Monday night.
