Too early for Slocan Valley NDCC use study:Popoff

The rural director in the Slocan Valley says it’s too early to be doing any wider studies on how many people in his area use the Nelson and District Community Complex.

Nelson wants a study to see how a more equitable taxation sharing agreement can be found.

But Walter Popoff in Area H says he’s only just initiated his own local study to seek input on parks and recreation.

Popoff adds his residents could choose to use either Nelson or Castlegar for indoor recreation.

Currently only Nelson, Area F and part of Area E contribute to the NDCC.
