With many sightings reported lately are there more cougars in our area than ever?
Local wildlife biologist Joanne Siderius says we’ve always had cougars around but it may be the increasing deer numbers that are attracting them near homes.
She says we can all help combat that.
She says a fence will help deter cougars as will having a good nightlight.
In the past few days a family of four cougars was put down at four mile and we heard of another quartet hanging around the waste transfer station in Balfour.
