Regional bus service for Saturdays?

Bus riders in the West Kootenay could see a new route next month that would extend the service to six days a week.

So says Castlegar mayor Lawrence Chernoff who also chairs the West Kootenay Transit Committee.

Chernoff says a bus could be running on Saturday as soon as the middle of next month.

Chernoff says the final details are still being worked out and it is not yet clear how many buses would be running as part of the Saturday schedule.

He adds a route from Grandview Heights into the Castlegar could also be introduced at the same time.
